Seven aspiring farmers in Kuzbass will receive nearly 32 million rubles to develop their farms.

The results of the competitive selection for the Agrostartup grant have been announced. This year, 21 applications were submitted by applicants who collected documents and developed business plans with the assistance of specialists from the Kuzbass Center for Competence in Agricultural Cooperation and Farmer Support.
As a result of the competitive selection, seven farmers from the Belovsky, Gurevsky, Topkinsky, Krapivinsky, Novokuznetsky, Yurginsky, and Tashtagolsky districts will receive state support. Three of them will use the Agrostartup grants to develop beef cattle farming, and two will focus on dairy farming. The remaining farmers plan to develop the production of grain, legumes, oilseeds, and potatoes.
This year, 31.8 million rubles have been allocated for Agrostartup grants in Kuzbass. "With these funds, the farmers who won the competitive selection plan to purchase seven units of equipment, 19 units of agricultural and production equipment, 95 livestock, and construct a farm building. At least nine new jobs are planned to be created. The implementation of these projects will contribute to increased production of high-quality products and improve food security in the region," noted Kuzbass Governor Ilya Seredyuk.
Under the program, the state reimburses 90% of project costs. Farmers are required to contribute only 10% of their own funds.
Olga Kashirina from the Krapivinsky District grows potatoes. She plans to use the grant to build a vegetable storage facility. This will allow the farm to ensure optimal conditions for storing seeds and commercial produce until next year, and to transition to year-round potato sales. As a result, over the five years of the project, the cultivated area and production volume will increase by 55%. The potatoes will be sold to the public, as well as to businesses in the food service, healthcare, and recreation sectors.
A farmer from the Topkinsky district, Ibrahim Dzhabiev, is engaged in crop production - he grows wheat, barley,peas and rapeseed. To develop her farm and improve the quality of agricultural work, she plans to purchase a tractor with grant funds.
Larisa Cherkasova from the Yurginsky District submitted a project for the competitive selection to develop dairy farming. She will produce both raw MILK and sour cream.Cottage cheese , butter , and cheese. The farmer plans to expand his dairy herd and acquire Holstein cows. He will harvest forage himself, so the Agrostartup grant will be used to purchase a tractor and attachments.
Ulyana Polushkina plans to develop beef cattle farming in the Tashtagol District. To provide the animals with their own feed, the grant will be used to purchase a tractor and agricultural equipment, including a rake, seeder, and baler.
Andrey German will develop beef cattle farming in the Novokuznetsk District. To this end, he will purchase 48 HEAD of breeding cattle, as well as a loader and grain crusher to provide the herd with high-quality feed.
