Rusmolco plans to increase the volume of feed procurement by 30% to 180,000 tons compared to last year. To date, the company's farms have harvested more than 130 thousand tons of green mass of grasses for haylage.

Russian Dairy Company (a subsidiary of Olam International, one of the TOP-3 producers of raw MILK in RUSSIA) increases the volume of feed procurement by 30% compared to last year. In total, the farms plan to harvest more than 180,000 tons of green mass of grasses for haylage in three mowings.

The need to increase the volume of fodder procurement is caused by a systematic increase in the number of cattle as a result of the implementation of the company's new investment program. The company plans to fully provide the livestock with high-quality feed of its own production.

Rusmolco has already started the second mowing of perennial grasses. To date, more than 130 thousand tons of haylage have been harvested. Work is being carried out in five districts of the Penza region, where Rusmolco's agricultural lands are located: Kuznetsky, Serdobsky, Narovchatsky, Nizhnelomovsky and Kamensky.

More than 75 people take part in the mowing, more than 50 units of agricultural equipment from global manufacturers John Deere, Claas, Umega, LMR, Fliegl, KUHN are involved.

Green fodder is the basis of the diet of cattle at Rusmolco dairy complexes. An important part of their preparation is the correct bookmark. Fresh green mass is brought along with the leaven into specially prepared trenches, which are located in each farm of the company. In the trenches, the green mass is leveled and compacted using heavy equipment - John Deere tractors. The fermentation process takes three months, after which the feed is ready for consumption. High-quality feed in sufficient volume ensures stable milk yield and high quality of Rusmolco's raw milk.

Recall that the Russian Dairy Company is implementing an investment program worth 4 billion rubles. As part of the program, it is planned to expand the dairy complex in the Serdobsky district of the Penza region from 5,200 to 7,200 heads of dairy herds, expand and build facilities for 3,000 heifers in the Narovchatsky district next to existing dairy complexes, as well as the construction of irrigation systems on land for forage harvesting, which will ensure the continuous production of feed to meet their needs, regardless of weather conditions in the region.
