PIONERPRODUKT .by continues to publish a series of videos from the AgroExpedition “Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan”. In this video we will hold a round table with members of the ROO Beekeepers of Tatarstan and talk about an important topic - bee poisoning.
The serious bee poisoning that occurred in Tatarstan in 2019 changed the lives of beekeepers in Tatarstan. After the death of hundreds of bee colonies from the pesticides that farmers used to treat the fields, it was decided to create a regional public organization “Beekeepers of Tatarstan”. The activities of this association are aimed at protecting the rights of beekeepers, helping to resolve problematic issues, and organizing interaction with government authorities and farmers.
The organization provides a variety of assistance to beekeepers who find themselves in difficult situations, be it bee poisoning or receiving government grants. After all, only through joint efforts can solutions to pressing issues be possible. Moreover, this will require less time and effort than “stew in your own juice” and try to break through “high thresholds” on your own.
Thanks to the RPO "Beekeepers of Tatarstan", cooperation with local farmers has been organized. To avoid poisoning of bees, farmers warn in advance about the upcoming processing, which allows them to be taken to a safe place. Work is also underway to convey information to farmers about the importance of using class 3 drugs or biological products that are harmless to bees.
One of the initiatives of the RPO “Beekeepers of Tatarstan” is the creation of a TELEGRAM group “No Poisoning,” through which the country’s beekeepers can address the issue of bee poisoning and receive advice or legal assistance from colleagues. At the time of filming, this group consisted of more than 300 people from different regions of RUSSIA.
At the same time, I would like to note that in the confrontation between farmers and beekeepers there cannot be one winner; one cannot lag behind one’s interests to the detriment of others. Therefore, it is necessary to negotiate, and the experience of the RPO “Beekeepers of Tatarstan” shows that the process of influence between all subjects in this matter is possible.
