The structure of agricultural exports from the Novosibirsk Region is diversified, with grains, oilseeds, and legumes occupying the most significant positions, accounting for over 61.4% of Novosibirsk's agricultural exports. Food and processing industry products also account for a significant share of 16.3% : confectionery, milled and deeply processed grain products, and beverages.
In 2024, Novosibirsk agricultural products were supplied to 55 countries. The key shipping destinations remain Asian countries: CHINA , Kazakhstan , Uzbekistan , Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam , India, Mongolia, and significant exports to Turkey. Last year, our leading exporters actively expanded their export portfolios, shipping their first batches of peas to India, wheat to Cuba, Novosibirsk barley to Libya and Iran, and wheat to the Republic of Korea .
To successfully implement the regional project and achieve the target, the Novosibirsk Region Ministry of Agriculture, together with regional agricultural exporters and representatives of Agroexport, annually defines regional agricultural export targets, key product types, and importing countries.
Achieving target indicators is ensured through federal government support measures, such as subsidized transportation costs, partial reimbursement of agricultural product certification costs in foreign markets, reimbursement of oilseed production costs, and preferential lending for agricultural exporters.
To expand sales markets and find new partners, Novosibirsk Region enterprises actively participate in international trade fairs and exhibitions. According to the Novosibirsk Region Export Support Center, over the past six years, 111 agricultural organizations have participated in 21 international exhibitions and 23 business missions.
In pursuance of the objectives of increasing agricultural exports outlined by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Novosibirsk Region has developed a new project, "Agricultural Exports," as part of the regional export development program through 2030. The project's goal is to increase the volume of non-commodity exports of Novosibirsk Region agricultural products by providing and facilitating the provision of government support measures.
