
In October 2021, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of new foci of especially dangerous diseases in various countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the OIE website.
African swine fever has been reported in Haiti (6), Dominican Republic (10), Hungary (12), Germany (43), Latvia (38), Poland (123), Romania (186), South Africa (8) and SOUTH KOREA (1 ). New foci of classical swine fever have been reported in Brazil (1) and Japan (19).
Outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza subtypes H5, H5N1, H5N5, H5N8 and H7N7 notified by the veterinary services of Great Britain (1), Germany (6), Denmark (2), Italy (4), Serbia (3), Ukraine (1), Finland (7 ), Sweden (2), Estonia (4), as well as Israel (1), Kazakhstan (2), Laos (1), Taiwan (3) and South Africa (9). The disease has been noted among agricultural birds and wild birds. Low pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 has been reported in Italy (1).
Lumpy skin disease has been reported in Cambodia (17), Malaysia (16), Nepal (5) and Thailand (6). Foot and mouth disease - in Zambia (10) and South Africa (16).
In October, a case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy was reported from Germany (1). Epizootic hemorrhagic disease has been reported in Tunisia (4). A focus of Rift Valley fever has been identified in Mauritania (1). Anthrax has been reported in Azerbaijan (1), Ukraine (1) and Spain (10). West Nile fever - in Germany (21) and France (1). Tularemia - in Norway (3).
Rabies has been detected in Ceuta (1), Melilla (1) and Malaysia (2). Rabbit hemorrhagic disease has been reported in Cuba (2), usa (2) and Luxembourg (1). Aujeszky's disease - in France (1). In Morocco (2) - plague of small ruminants. Cases of CORONAVIRUS infection covid-19 (SARS-COV-2) in animals have been reported in Myanmar (1), Spain (4), Japan (2) and the United States (3).
