Export of Russian agricultural products in the first half of the year increased by 18%

In 2021, RUSSIA continues to systematically increase the production of agricultural products and food, which allows not only to meet domestic needs, but also to increase its EXPORT potential. In the first half of the year, our country supplied $15 billion worth of food to foreign markets, which is 18% more than in the same period last year (data for the EAEU countries for January-May 2021). The volume of exports in physical terms amounted to 30 million tons.

All main categories of goods demonstrated positive dynamics. Thus, supplies of oil and fat products increased by 43% and amounted to $3.5 billion. MEAT exports increased by 26% to $499 million, dairy products - by 25% to $177 million, grain - by 19% to $4.3 billion. Deliveries of food and processing industry products increased by 5% and reached $2 billion. Also, shipments of fish and seafood showed an increase - by 2.7% to $2.4 billion.

In total, in the first half of the year, domestic agricultural products were supplied to almost 150 countries of the world. CHINA became the leader , the proceeds from deliveries to the Celestial Empire reached $1.9 billion. In second place is Turkey, which increased purchases by 15% to $1.8 billion. Also in the top three buyers is SOUTH KOREA, exports to this country amounted to $ 1.1 billion, which is 50% more than a year earlier.
