PIONERPRODUKT.by continues to publish videos from the AgroExpedition “Agriculture and agritourism in Kyrgyzstan”. In this video, we will talk about how you can use the highlands to attract tourists. And we will see a high-mountain hotel in the Pamir-Alai.
The hotel in the highlands is called Pamir-Alay, the name was not chosen by chance, this is the name of one of the highest mountain systems of the former USSR. The hotel is located at an altitude of almost 3500 meters.
The hotel itself has a round shape, like a flying saucer, which, coupled with the desert landscape of the highlands, makes a rather futuristic impression. And this is a very good clue to attract tourists. At the same time, in addition to the aesthetic component, the round structure has a very real function - increased stability in conditions of strong winds and earthquakes that occur in the mountains. The maximum capacity of the hotel is 20 people at a time.
Inside the hotel there is a kitchen and a dining room, which has both traditional tables and a national dastarkhan, which allows tourists to get closer to the national traditions of Kyrgyzstan. The hotel has electricity, so the kitchen has all the necessary appliances. In order for tourists not to be distracted from contemplating the desert "Martian" landscapes, the hotel has a chef who perfectly prepares both traditional Kyrgyz dishes and classic ones.
Guest rooms on the ground floor are small. From the inside, they are finished with wood, which adds a sense of home comfort. Beds are bunk. Each room has its own bathroom and shower.
The hotel has a heating system that allows guests to feel comfortable even in winter, when temperatures here in the mountains can reach -30 degrees.
On the second floor of the hotel, in a circle, there are 2 and 3-bed rooms, but already with traditional single-tier beds. There are also bathrooms and even a shower. The rooms also have a small coffee table, also made of wood, which goes well with the design of the room.
The cost of the room (at the time of filming - September 2021) is 5000 soms and includes breakfast and dinner. Lunch must be ordered, its cost is 250 soms. Which, in terms of one person, is quite an affordable price for such an unusual hotel in the mountains.
A path leads from the hotel to the nearest ridge, which offers beautiful views of the wide Alai Valley with murmuring threads of rivers, and the white sheer walls of the eternal snows of the Trans-Ili ridge, which is crowned by one of the highest peaks of the former USSR - Lenin Peak 7134 meters high.
