The issue of allowing settlements in crypto-currencies is not being considered in Belarus, Chairman of the Board of the NATIONAL BANK Pavel Kallaur said on October 18 at the opening of the international forum on banking information technologies BankIT'2017, BelTA informs.
“As for cryptocurrencies, the issue of allowing settlements in cryptocurrencies for goods, works, services on the territory of Belarus is not considered in principle,” said Pavel Kallaur.
In Belarusian legislation, cryptocurrencies are not yet regulated in any way. At the same time, the new draft decree, which should turn Belarus into an it country, provides for the introduction of cryptocurrencies and tokens into civil circulation. A comprehensive legal regulation is proposed so that HTP residents can provide services of crypto exchanges, crypto exchangers, raise funding through ICO, use cryptocurrencies and tokens in civil circulation. This will make it possible to introduce into the legal field not only cryptocurrencies, but also the activities of the so-called miners. In the future, it becomes possible to legally create large mining crypto centers in Belarus.
