The YuMoney and Sbermegamarket applications have been removed from Google Play

The YuMoney and Sbermegamarket applications, which are part of the Sber ecosystem, have disappeared from the Google Play online store. This was reported in their Telegram channels by the press services of the companies.

“Android users are currently unable to download and update the YuMoney mobile application on Google Play,” YuMoney said. A similar message was published by Sbermegamarket. Earlier, the Sberbank application disappeared from the online store.

Both companies have assured users who have already downloaded the app that there is nothing to worry about. Applications work stably, there are no restrictions on use. Press services recommend not deleting the application due to the inability to download it again.

On February 24, the United States added Sberbank to the SARTA sanctions list, which involves the introduction of restrictions on correspondent accounts in the country. Within a month, American financial institutions had to close all correspondent accounts of the bank and stop any transactions involving Sberbank and its 25 subsidiaries. Similar sanctions against the Russian bank were introduced by Great Britain on March 1. Canada also imposed restrictions on Sberbank.

On April 6, the United States authorities announced that Sberbank was included in the SDN (specially designated nationals) list, these restrictions include freezing assets and prohibiting Americans from doing business with them. The measures affected more than 40 subsidiaries of the bank, including Sberbank Insurance, SberLeasing, SberNPF private pension fund, United Credit Bureau, Sberbank CIB investment division, Sberbank Investments broker and UMoney payment service.

Sberbank said that the sanctions would not significantly affect its work and service to Russians. The bank said that it had developed solutions that would allow already installed applications from the App Store and Google Play to continue working, and IT specialists adapted the web version of Sberbank Online for mobile devices and are working on alternative ways to download the application.
