In Tatarstan, patients with SARS began to remotely issue sick leave

Residents of Tatarstan who have shown symptoms of SARS will be able to issue a sick leave remotely. To do this, you need to contact the "122" service.

Dmitry Lopushov, chief freelance epidemiologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, announced the start of remote issuance of sick leave to patients with signs of acute respiratory viral infections today at a press conference in the Tatar-Inform news agency.

“A citizen contacts the 122 service, submits an application, undergoes a survey about the reasons, and then the application is transferred to a medical institution at the place of attachment, and a sick leave is opened for 7 days without going to the clinic,” Lopushov said. To close the sick leave, he added, you do not need to visit the clinic either. The information is sent to the social security fund, and from there to the employer.

According to him, the system of remote registration of sick leave has been introduced temporarily and will operate until March 15. It can only be used by patients with SARS, it does not apply to other diseases.

“Introduced algorithm will help relieve polyclinics and eliminate overlaps in the flow of sick and healthy people. The system started working. Yesterday, almost all applications that came remotely for the opening of sick leave were completed,” said Lopushov.

He added that parents who need sick leave to care for a child are not eligible for remote registration. It is necessary, as before, to call a doctor at home. “Children are a special risk group, so they need a medical examination,” said a representative of the Ministry of Health.
