Rostourism evaluated the impact of vaccination of foreigners on inbound tourism

Vaccination of foreigners against CORONAVIRUS infection in RUSSIA will help restart inbound tourism. This was stated by the HEAD of the Federal Tourism Agency Zarina Doguzova at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), TASS reports.

“This can become an incentive to restart inbound tourism and strengthen the industry after the pandemic, restore its turnover,” Doguzova said.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that the Russian authorities intend to make a decision on the vaccination of foreigners against COVID-19 in the near future. She clarified that the government has this issue, and Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova is personally involved in it.

At the end of March, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin had received proposals to allow or facilitate entry into Russia for foreigners who want to receive a Russian vaccine against COVID-19. So he commented on the request of the President of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers Igor Bukharov, the President of the Union of Shopping Centers Bulat Shakirov and the leader of the All-Russian Movement of Entrepreneurs Andrey Kovalev to allow visa-free entry for those wishing to be vaccinated against coronavirus in Russia. Businessmen believe that simplified entry for such foreigners will help support industries most affected by the pandemic.
