In the Rostov region, the number of victims from COVID-19 exceeded 4.4 thousand people

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,404 people have become victims of COVID-19 in the Rostov region, 14 of them over the past day. This was reported by the information policy department of the Don government.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, over the past 24 hours, the number of confirmed coronavirus infected in the Rostov region has increased by 182 and on the morning of May 28, the cumulative total reached 93,655. Over the entire period, 83,789 people recovered in the region, including 156 over the past day.

“To date, 434,949 people have been vaccinated against a new coronavirus infection, 5,074 in a day. 324,612 people have completed vaccination (double administration of the vaccine), 4,264 in a day,” the department said in a statement.

Recall that earlier the chief sanitary doctor of the Rostov region Evgeny Kovalev spoke in favor of maintaining restrictive measures in the region. On the May holidays on the Don, coronavirus restrictions were also not relaxed. Moreover, most of the mass events were canceled during this period.

According to the Minister of Health of the Rostov Region Yuri Kobzev, at the moment there have been no cases of complications after vaccination against COVID-19 in the Don region.
