By July 22, a little more than six months after the start of mass vaccination against CORONAVIRUS, 32.9 million people in Russia received at least one dose of the vaccine, according to data on the progress of vaccination in the regions. RBC requested information on how the vaccination campaign is progressing from the regional authorities, and also studied the information published by the operational headquarters of the constituent entities of the Federation.

In the two weeks since the last RBC count, the number of Russians who started vaccination increased by 5.8 p.p. (from 16.7 to 22.5% of the country's population). Fully vaccinated, according to data for July 18-22, 14.6% of citizens (at the time of the last count - 11.7%). The Sakhalin and Tver regions did not provide RBC with data on the proportion of the fully vaccinated population.

Towards Herd Immunity

According to RBC's calculations, Chukotka and Belgorod Oblast still rank first and second respectively in the ranking of regions with the largest number of vaccinated. At the same time, in terms of the share of those vaccinated with at least one component of the vaccine, the second one lags behind the first one by only 0.1 p.p. (38.11% of the population were vaccinated with the first component in the Belgorod region, 38.12% in Chukotka). The gap in the proportion of fully vaccinated between regions is more noticeable - in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, 30.6% of the population received both doses, in the Belgorod Region - 27.4%.
