In Afghanistan, after the seizure of power by the Taliban (“Taliban” is a terrorist organization banned in Russia), a crisis is brewing: 14 million people may face hunger. David Beasley, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme, told Reuters.

Beasley urged the world's politicians to "act quickly". It will take at least $200 million by September to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe, he said. The executive director of the World Food Program also expressed hope that the US , Qatar and other Arab states of the Persian Gulf will provide money.
