The resumption of flights to eight more countries does not mean the restoration of tourist flows in these areas, said Alexander Osaulenko, vice president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), director of the Turpomoshch Association, to RBC.

“We must understand that not all of them open directly for tourist travel, there are a number of restrictions in terms of both entry into the country and exit. Basically, these are regular flights, the frequency is not very high,” Osaulenko said.

According to him, with two flights to one country a week, it will be difficult to get prices affordable for a mass tourist as part of his tour package.

In addition, the PCT Vice President recalled that in some countries, such as the UK, there is still a two-week quarantine for visitors and a requirement to take a PCR test at your own expense. At the same time, there are countries more loyal to the Russians. So, in Morocco and Croatia, Russians are not required to self-isolate, and vaccinated citizens may not be tested for COVID-19 , Osaulenko explained.
