The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said it is actively working to continue uninterrupted supplies of the Sputnik V covid-19 vaccine following reports that the country is facing a critical situation due to supply delays. The fund's comment was received by RBC.
“RDIF welcomes the statement by the Minister of HEALTH of Argentina that work under the contract for the supply of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine continues and there is no talk of revising its terms or breaking it. The positive experience of using Sputnik V in Argentina has shown the exceptional safety and effectiveness of the Russian vaccine, which is already produced in this country and is one of the most popular vaccines against a new CORONAVIRUS infection,” the statement said.
RDIF also said that they are working to ensure uninterrupted supplies of the vaccine and that production of the drug will increase in September. “Thanks to the localization of production in many countries, additional production facilities will soon be commissioned in Argentina, India, CHINA, SOUTH KOREA and several other countries.”
