Over the past day in the Perm region, coronavirus infection was detected in 5,093 people. Of these, 1,014 are children. Of the new patients, 549 people are vaccinated. In terms of the daily increase in COVID cases, the region ranks 3rd among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation (St. Petersburg by 1, Krasnoyarsk Territory by 2).

During the day , 21 people died from COVID-19 . During the entire period of the pandemic in the region, 8,179 patients died from coronavirus. The total number of infected in the Perm Territory has reached 287,951

. To date, in the Perm Territory, 323 patients are in serious condition in hospitals repurposed for treatment from COVID-19, 108 are connected to ventilators. Among the severe patients, 17 were vaccinated. The share of available beds is 19.3%.

On the morning of February 21, in the Perm Territory, almost 1,166,000 residents were initially vaccinated against coronavirus infection, which is 58.4% of the total adult population of the Kama region. Coronavirus vaccination of adolescents aged 12 to 17 is also ongoing. To date, more than 1.4 thousand minors have been vaccinated with Sputnik-M. The remaining sets of the first batch of "children's" vaccine have already been distributed based on the written consent of the teenagers' parents.
