The number of visitors to indoor events in St. Petersburg from June 12 to July 12 was limited to 3,000 people due to the situation with the CORONAVIRUS, the press service of the administration of the city governor reports.

Appropriate changes have been made to the Decree of the Government of St. Petersburg "On Measures to Counter the Spread of the New Coronavirus Infection ( covid-19 ) in St. Petersburg". When holding cultural and entertainment events in the open air with the participation of more than 75 people, their organizers will have to ensure compliance with the requirements of a special regulation, which will be approved by the culture committee.

The European Football Championship will be held from June 11 to July 11 in 11 cities of different countries. Petersburg will host seven matches of the tournament, the first will take place on June 12: the Russian team will play in the group stage with the Belgian team.

On Saturday, June 6, the operational headquarters reported a record daily number of infected in St. Petersburg since March - 861 cases. Over the past day, 859 new infections with coronavirus have been recorded in the city.
