Canada allows fully vaccinated foreigners to enter the country

The Government of Canada allowed foreign citizens to enter the country on the condition that they complete a full course of vaccination against coronavirus with drugs recognized in the country, this is stated on the website of the Government of Canada.

The new rules come into effect on September 7th.

Canada recognizes four COVID-19 vaccines: American Pfizer and Moderna and British AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. Those who want to enter the country should complete their vaccination course with these developments at least two weeks before their arrival in Canada, local authorities recommended.

Before traveling, travelers must upload a vaccination certificate to a special ArriveCan service, and at the border, despite the availability of a vaccine, present a negative PCR test taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Canada.

From these requirements, according to a statement by the Canadian government, children under 12 years of age will be exempted if they cross the border accompanied by fully vaccinated parents. At the same time, at the border, as the press service noted, “random checks of visitors” will be applied: customs officers will be able to require any tourist to pass an express test for COVID-19 .
