The flow of milk to processing plants continues to decline

The State Statistics Service of Ukraine published data on the flow of raw milk from farm animals to processing enterprises in the 1st half of this year.

In general, the flow to processing enterprises decreased by 11.8% compared to last year, while 5% less milk was bought from enterprises, and 25.8% less milk from households than in the same period last year. The volume of milk purchased for the 1st half of the year from enterprises is about 1.3 million tons, from households - almost 4.5 times less, 272 thousand tons.

It should be noted that according to the DSSU data, the share of high-quality whole cow's milk in the total volume of milk purchased by processing enterprises has increased: the share of extra-class milk has increased by 6.9%, and the premium by 2%.
