news The legend of Belarusian education, a person with a unique destiny, Tatyana Nikolaevna Karpechenko from Alexandria celebrated her 100th birthday, boldly entering the second century of her life. Continuous phone calls these days - from MINSK, Shklov, Moscow and even the Vologda region, where she was born, as well as many guests, flowers and gifts - evidence that the teacher from the Alexandria school has firmly entered the life history of not only her students, including the President of Belarus ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO , as well as the country and many of those whom she taught mathematics and life. She taught in such a way that people still remember her, they do not forget her science, which guides many through life, becoming the basis of the path of life.
Tatyana Nikolaevna is the heroine of the author's journalistic project "The Fate of Women - the Fate of a United Belarus", the first part of which formed the basis of a book of the same name published by BELTA. The author of the project, Alina Grishkevich, tells how the hero of the day celebrated her 100th birthday. On the first day, official
congratulations , including from her most famous student Alexander Lukashenko, who sent gifts, which greatly touched the birthday girl and for which she is very grateful.
“I am very pleased that my students remember me. Gifts from Alexander Grigorievich are his sign of memory of his class teacher. But I didn’t open the gifts right away, you know, holiday chores... When I opened
it and saw a downy white scarf from the President, It was very nice,” shares the birthday girl.
The doors of her house were practically not closed on January 12; representatives of many organizations and departments came to honor the 100-year-old mathematics teacher, colleagues from school, acquaintances, and neighbors.
And on the second day, the closest people, relatives, friends and those who constantly delight with their presence and participation in her life gathered at the festive table. The birthday celebration turned out to be truly bright and sincere - in an atmosphere of love and warmth despite the strong frost and creaking snow outside the window under the bright rays of the sun. It was as if nature itself greeted the woman with such a wonderful anniversary.
The hall was beautifully decorated in a festive way, with the number 100. And the presenters and singers also tried to please the hero of the day. Each of the guests had something to say.
...As befits a mathematician, Tatyana Nikolaevna is punctual - the elegant and beautiful birthday girl arrived exactly at the appointed time, not a minute late, beautifully surrounded by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And guests were already waiting for her - with gifts and flowers. There were so many flowers that they occupied a significant part of the hall, bringing an atmosphere of spring and color.
By the way, a gorgeous huge basket with 101 scarlet roses (from a local farm), among others, became a real decoration of the festival.
There was also a bouquet of symbolic 17 champagne-colored roses - a hint of the youthful soul of the birthday girl.
“In general, they gave so many flowers these days that the house is now a real colorful greenhouse,” Tatyana Nikolaevna, whose hobby, by the way, is floriculture, proudly noted.
Of course, almost all close relatives arrived. And the birthday girl has four children, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren - real family wealth!
Daughter Galina, who herself recently celebrated her 70th birthday, came with her children and grandchildren from Moscow. “Mom, you are the most dear and reliable person, you are always there, and when it was difficult, you always supported. I am proud that you are my mother.
HEALTH and happiness to you. Just live!” - she touchingly congratulated her mother.
Among the guests are two Muscovite grandchildren. We can say that the technical mindset was passed on to them from their grandmother - both graduated from the Faculty of Cybernetics of the National Research Nuclear University in Moscow.
Tatyana Nikolaevna said that almost all the grandchildren received higher education related to mathematics. In general, the family includes doctors, oil workers, radio engineers, IT specialists, and economists.
The youngest guests - great-granddaughters 8-year-old Ulyana and 10-year-old Diana - together with other great-grandchildren, soulfully read poetry and sang songs for their beloved great-grandmother. Excellent students. They often come to visit Tatyana Nikolaevna.
“The eldest great-granddaughter is finishing her studies as a programmer, her great-grandson is serving in the army,” says Tatyana Nikolaevna proudly.
From the history of life, Tatyana Nikolaevna was born in 1924 in the Vologda region - in the village of Fominskaya, Morozovsky rural settlement, Verkhovazhsky district, where her father was from. During the First World War, as a military man, he ended up in the Shklovsky district, where he met his future wife Matryona Prokopyevna (Tatyana Nikolaevna’s mother) from the village of Chernoye, which is about 12 km from Alexandria.
Tatyana's childhood was calm and happy, in parental care and attention, in work. True, her father died early, and her stepfather raised her. Tatyana remembers joining the Komsomol well. She wanted to join so quickly that she gave herself a year to do this - they accepted 15-year-olds, but she was just a little short, so she had to “grow up” herself.
In 1941, she graduated from a pedagogical school, receiving the specialty of a primary school teacher. A 17-year-old girl was supposed to go on assignment to one of the districts of the Arkhangelsk region when the Great Patriotic War began.
As a result, she was sent not to work, but to a course for high school teachers at the Arkhangelsk Pedagogical Institute, since the war made major adjustments to school education. “Before the war, many men worked as teachers, including mathematics, biology, in schools, most of whom went to fight, to defend their homeland. And the girls did not have to choose: like it or not, I want it or I don’t want it. There was only one word - must.” , she says.
The girl began studying to become a mathematics teacher in high school. She remembered that time well: students received 400 grams of bread using a ration card. Everything was sent to the front, to those who fought. The slogan then was - everything for the front, everything for victory.
Tatyana Nikolaevna forever remembered the feeling of fear that was caused by the roar of an air raid siren when there was a high probability of German bombing. And here the Komsomol spirit also manifested itself, which was supposed to inspire young people to heroic deeds. Students (and these were mostly girls) were assigned to be on duty on the roofs and extinguish “lighters”, and provide first aid in the sanitary unit. She was in the unit that kept order.
After completing the course, which was counted as the beginning of higher education, the girl was sent to work at a 7-year school in the village of Ploskoye, Ustyansky district, Arkhangelsk region. This is not far from Veliky Ustyug - the current capital of Father Frost. This was the first job of a newly-minted mathematics teacher, and at the same time a physical education teacher. A wonderful time of youth and your first steps in a profession that has become your life’s work.
But Tatyana Nikolaevna came to Alexandria almost by accident. Already when the war had died down, and she herself had worked the allotted time as assigned, then, at the insistence of her mother, in 1946 she went to the Shklovsky district to visit her mother’s relatives. There, quite by chance, together with his uncle in the park, they met his friend who worked in the district, and somehow he persuaded him to work at the school - the choice fell on the Alexandria school. I thought it wouldn’t be for long, but it turned out that it would last a lifetime. She got married and gave birth to four children.
Class teacher The future President studied in one of her classes. “The classes were large then, and the Alexandria school worked in two shifts: the first was for high school students, the second for junior primary classes. And so I was entrusted with class leadership in the 5th A class, in which children studied
mainly from the villages of Alexandria and Mezhnik. Ordinary village boys and girls, calm and mischievous, obedient and not so obedient, ready to plunge into the world of knowledge and at the same time wanting to misbehave. All very different. Alexander Lukashenko stood out for his tall stature in the class, taller than other classmates. He was always neatly dressed, with red tie, tried very hard to study,” recalls the former teacher.
“As a class teacher, I needed to know the family conditions of each student, so I had to visit Lukashenko’s family. Alexander Lukashenko’s mother, Ekaterina Trofimovna, was a very modest and hardworking person. She worked as a milkmaid. Milkmaids in the village were very respected people, since everyone they understood how difficult it is to get every liter of
MILK and how much you have to work,” says Tatyana Nikolaevna.
“My husband taught history in Alexander Lukashenko’s class. We used to discuss school matters at home, talk about our students, who succeeded in what. And I asked my husband which students he had the best. “My best student is Sasha Lukashenko.” ", - my husband constantly said. I, as a class teacher, was very pleased with this. The future President gave preference to humanitarian subjects, linguists also praised him, he wrote essays and expositions well," continues the former teacher.
“I was very proud of his successes, as well as all the guys who had achievements. I was and am proud of my students,” says Tatyana Nikolaevna.
She says that a foreign journalist once asked her what she would do if she knew that there was a future President in her class? “If I knew that there was a future President in my class, I would keep a separate diary and write about everything in detail,” the teacher answered.
Numerous students congratulated her on her centenary. By the way, graduates of the class in which the future
HEAD of state studied are planning to come to their class teacher in the summer.
Blitz interview - Tatyana Nikolaevna, what are your favorite flowers?
- Zinnias - they bloom near my house every summer.
- Favorite song?
- "Robin."
- Favorite color?
- Bordeaux.
- Favorite movie?
- I really love films created in the post-war period. "Tractor Drivers", "Wedding in Malinovka", "Striped Flight". I don’t like modern ones, there is little spirituality.
- Favorite book?
- I read a lot in my youth and when I retired. I love historical books. My daughter once brought several volumes about Napoleon and read them with interest.
- Favorite school subject?
- Of course, mathematics.
- Favorite city?
- Shklov, where my Belarusian page in life began.
- The secret of longevity?
- Genetics is very important, of course. The main ones are work and a healthy lifestyle. We didn’t plan vacations on the beaches at the time. Even though she worked as a teacher, she had to work a lot on the land. In the morning, before work at school, I worked in the garden with a shovel, and in the afternoon I dried hay in the field with a rake. Our outdoor recreation was combined with hard work; healthy physical activity is good for health. That's why I live long.
I am also sure that family well-being, mutual friendship and respect of parents play a big role - this is how children are brought up by their example, and this has a positive effect on
health .
- What is happiness?
- When your family is alive and well. When you have health. I repeat - when there is a good family and harmony, peace and harmony reign in it. When you have a favorite
job .
- Are you satisfied with the celebration of your 100th anniversary, did you manage to do everything as you wanted?
- I’m very pleased. Everyone I invited was there.
- If it’s not a secret, what did you get for your centenary?
- Gifts are not the main thing. It is important that people remember and treat with respect. And I didn’t expect any gifts, I was simply glad to receive every congratulation.
But they still gave us gifts. Here, for example, is a white down scarf, a rocking chair, a new TV, a blue blanket that matches the color of your eyes. Now I’ll be in a rocking chair watching TV, covered with a white scarf and a blue blanket.
Each
congratulations are attention to me, a sign of respect from people, locals from Alexandria, from Shklov, as well as from Mogilev, Minsk. And, of course, my family. Memory and respect are very valuable.
By the way, seven hours of celebrating the centenary - with songs and dances, until late - did not tire the hero of the day.
“We must live in hope and hope to meet more than once,” says Tatyana Nikolaevna Karpenkova.
