A culinary workshop in St. Petersburg has been closed following salmonella infections.

"Based on the review of the case materials, SPAR Middle Volga LLC was found guilty, and the COURT imposed an administrative penalty under Article 6.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation in the form of a 35-day suspension of operations. The suspension period begins on July 25," the department reported.

Seven cases were related to the purchase of food at a supermarket located at  19 Vladimirsky Prospekt, Building A, St. Petersburg . The department conducted a sanitary and epidemiological investigation. During the inspection, the supermarket revealed non-compliance with food preparation procedures, expiration dates, and product storage and sales conditions, according to the report. Experts also found violations of sanitary requirements for production facilities.
