In the last days of June, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR specialists identified serious violations in the products of Brazilian MEAT producers, which raised concerns about the quality and safety of the products. Particular attention was paid to Minerva SA and Seara Alimentos Ltda, where problems with salmonella and microbial abnormalities were discovered.

According to the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor, as a result of laboratory monitoring, a violation was identified in the content of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms in the products of Minerva SA. This was the reason for the introduction of enhanced laboratory control over the products of this enterprise from July 3.

In addition, Salmonella was detected in pork for the company Seara Alimentos Ltda, which also caused concern among Russian controllers. Rosselkhoznadzor appealed to the competent authorities of Brazil with a request to find out the reasons for the violations and take the necessary measures to exclude the supply of products that do not meet the standards of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Russian Federation.

The past year showed that Minerva SA reduced the volume of product supplies to RUSSIA from 2088 tons in 2023 to 1172 tons in 2024 , which may indicate increasing concern on the part of Russian inspectors regarding product quality.

Minerva SA is a well-known Brazilian company specializing in the trading of fresh beef, leather, derivative products, live cattle EXPORT and meat processing. Its product quality problems raise serious questions among Russian authorities and consumers.

This event highlights the importance of strict product quality control and the need to comply with all food safety standards. Rosselkhoznadzor will continue to monitor and control incoming products to ensure the safety of Russian consumers. Issues of product quality and safety remain on the agenda, and all measures must be taken to prevent the supply of low-quality products to the Russian market.
