The Central Chernozem Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor brought to justice CJSC Tomarovsky MEAT Processing Plant and representatives of the company's management responsible for the uncontrolled discharge of wastewater into the Vorskla River.

Violation of environmental legislation was established during an unscheduled on-site inspection, during which a significant excess of the maximum permissible concentrations (MPC) of pollutants in the effluents of the Tomarovsky meat processing plant was revealed.

Based on the results of the study of samples and inspection of treatment facilities, inspectors of Rosprirodnadzor drew up protocols on administrative offenses and issued decisions to punish those responsible for polluting the river. The total amount of fines paid on a voluntary basis amounted to 90 thousand rubles.

The directorate of the meat-packing plant was issued an order to eliminate violations of environmental legislation within the prescribed period. Rosprirodnadzor controls the environmental situation in the village of Tomarovka, located in the upper reaches of the Vorskla, 27 kilometers northwest of Belgorod. In June, the clearing of the riverbed began.
