The Genbiotech agrobiotechnopark project for genomic selection of cattle is being launched in Kazan.

The center will be built on the site of a former tuberculosis sanatorium, covering 4,400 square meters, as well as on a 19,100 square meter plot of land, which will provide the necessary infrastructure. The center will house a genetic laboratory capable of conducting up to 600,000 tests per year, which will accelerate the breeding process and improve cattle productivity .

The technology park also plans to create classrooms and lecture halls to train specialists in agronomy and animal husbandry. The project is supported by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, which will integrate scientific advances into agricultural practices.

The agrobiotechnopark is scheduled to open in the second half of 2026. In addition to creating jobs and attracting investment, it will be an important element in the development of genetic research in RUSSIA, addressing contemporary challenges such as climate change and food security.
