Imports of goods from non-CIS countries, according to preliminary data from customs statistics, in January-April 2021 amounted to $78 billion 380.2 million and increased by 25% compared to the same period in 2020; in April, imports increased by almost 50%, the Friday FTS.

In food imports, purchases of vegetable oil increased by 1.9 times in April, grain crops - by 48.4%, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages - by 38.1%, fish - by 33.3%, sugar - by 24.2 %. At the same time, supplies of vegetables decreased by 18.3%, meat and offal - by 17%, tobacco - by 8%, dairy products - by 6%, fruits and nuts - by 1.5%.
