Alcohol will rise in price in Belarus

April 26, Minsk. Taking into account the change in excise rates from January 1, 2022 and the increase in material costs, MART adopted resolutions providing for a change in the maximum minimum prices for alcoholic products, BelTA informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

Thus, the Decree of April 20, 2022 No. 33 made the following changes. In particular, the marginal minimum selling price for raw ethyl alcohol from food raw materials, sold to Belarusian organizations for the production of rectified ethyl alcohol (with a zero excise rate) on a free shipping basis (without VAT) is set at Br20.39 per decalitre of anhydrous alcohol.

The maximum minimum selling price for rectified ethyl alcohol from food raw materials, sold by the country's organizations for the production of alcoholic products, vinegar and low-alcohol drinks (with a zero excise rate), for the production of medicines (excluding excise tax), on a free shipping basis (excluding VAT) set at Br25.07 per decalitre of anhydrous alcohol.

The marginal minimum selling price for rectified ethyl alcohol from food raw materials (including excise tax) on a free shipping basis (excluding VAT) is set at Br81.67 per decalitre of anhydrous alcohol.

The maximum minimum prices for alcoholic beverages with a strength of more than 28%, produced and (or) sold on the territory of Belarus, are set at the level of 0.5 liters of an alcoholic beverage with a strength of 40%: ex-works price on terms of ex-delivery (excluding VAT) - Br5.79 , retail price (including VAT) - Br7.66.

In addition, Decree No. 34 of April 20, 2022 set the maximum minimum selling price for fruit fortified vintage wines of improved quality and special technology in the amount of Br3.54 per 0.7 l with a strength of 18% (excluding VAT) on the terms of free shipping.

The specified resolutions come into force after their official publication.
