Investigators establish circumstances of man's murder in Minsk

May 26, Minsk. The central (Minsk) regional department of the Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case on the murder of a 33-year-old Minsker. BelTA was informed about this by Ekaterina Garlinskaya, official representative of USC in Minsk.

"On the morning of April 10 of this year, near a store located on Shevchenko Boulevard in Minsk, passers-by found the body of a Minsk resident with signs of violent death. During the investigation, it was established that the day before, in one of the apartments of the house on Kakhovskaya Street, the company drank alcohol. Each of them had repeatedly was brought to administrative and criminal liability and is registered in a narcological dispensary," the USC said.

While drinking alcohol, a 33-year-old man drove a 41-year-old Minsker out of the apartment, who behaved incorrectly. The offended woman went home and told her 49-year-old partner about what had happened. At that time, the man was also drunk. He decided to deal with the offenders and asked to organize a meeting with them. Before leaving the house, the defendant went into the kitchen and took a knife with him, noting later during the interrogation that he never goes outside without it. Having met near the store, the men began to sort things out. Suddenly, the defendant took out a knife and delivered one blow to the heart, from which the Minsker died before the arrival of an ambulance.

The defendant was detained by police officers at the scene of the crime. According to the materials of the criminal case, he was previously convicted of a murder committed in a similar way. It should be noted that the accused and the deceased were not previously acquainted.

The actions of a 49-year-old resident of the capital are qualified under Part 1 of Article 139 (murder) of the Criminal Code. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was applied to him. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
