SK revealed the details of the fatal injury of a man at an enterprise in the Volozhinsky district

December 6, Minsk. The Investigation Department of the USC for the Minsk region has completed the investigation of a criminal case on violation of labor protection rules. This was announced to BelTA by the official representative of the USC in the Minsk region Elena Krupenina.

“So, on August 12, 2020, a 29-year-old woodworking machine operator of one of the private enterprises of the Volozhin district, while working on the machine, received serious bodily injuries due to the ejection of the board. The victim died two weeks later in the hospital. During the investigation, a violation of a number of safety requirements 43 DIRECTOR of an enterprise. for compliance with the rules of safety and labor protection," the USC said.

According to the conclusion of the forensic technical examination, the causes of the accident were the lack of protective devices and fences in the woodworking equipment processing area, as well as the fact that the victim was intoxicated at the workplace . Moreover, the woodworking machine was made in a handicraft way, without the relevant manufacturer's documents, and there was no instruction manual.

As part of the preliminary investigation, the scene of the incident was examined, the conclusions of forensic, forensic, technical, handwriting examinations were studied, employees of the organization were interrogated, confrontations were held and testimonies were checked on the spot. Documentation on compliance with safety and labor protection at the enterprise was seized and studied.

The USC in the Minsk region charged the director of the enterprise under part 2 of article 306 (violation of labor protection rules, resulting in the death of a person by negligence) of the Criminal Code. A measure of restraint was applied to him in the form of a written undertaking not to leave and proper behavior.

The criminal case was studied by the prosecutor and submitted to the COURT.

In the course of the investigation, special attention was paid to the causes and conditions conducive to the commission of the crime. Information about the fact of industrial injuries was sent to the Volozhinsky District Executive Committee for consideration, as well as taking additional organizational measures to ensure healthy and safe working conditions.
