Almost 170 accidents happened in Minsk over the weekend

December 27, MINSK. The Metropolitan State Traffic Inspectorate has summed up the results of the weekend, BelTA learned from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
Over the past weekend, 168 accidents were registered in Minsk, five people were injured. 20 drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of ALCOHOL . Traffic police officers prevented 78 facts of driving vehicles without rights. 153 drivers were detained for violations of the rules for passing pedestrian crossings.
574 pedestrians violated the rules of the road, 50 of them were intoxicated.
The state traffic inspectorate calls on all road users to strictly observe traffic rules and recommends remembering road safety measures.
