Minsk resident stabbed elderly mother and tried to commit suicide - case brought to court

May 27, Minsk. The case of a Minsker who stabbed an elderly mother and tried to commit suicide has been brought to court, BelTA learned from the Prosecutor General's Office.

The prosecutor's office of the Oktyabrsky district of Minsk sent a criminal case to court on charges of a 45-year-old Minsk resident of inflicting grievous bodily harm on an obviously elderly and helpless person, committed in a way that is in the nature of torture and torture.

“The accused lived in Minsk with his elderly mother, a disabled person of the first group due to a disease of the musculoskeletal system. After the New Year holidays, the man drank alcoholic beverages for a long time. The victim periodically made comments to him. alcohol. Then it seemed to him that something was happening in the apartment. He took a knife from the kitchen, went into the room to his mother and inflicted numerous blows on various parts of her body, which caused serious bodily harm, "the department said.

Immediately after the deed, the man called the ambulance service and provided unhindered access to the apartment. After that, he decided to commit suicide by inflicting at least three blows to his chest area. Arriving doctors promptly provided assistance to the victim and the accused.

After studying the materials of the case, the prosecutor's office came to the conclusion that the accusation was justified, the evidence collected was sufficient, a comprehensive study of the circumstances of the crime, and they agreed with the qualification of the deed under paragraphs 1, 3, part 2, article 147 of the Criminal Code.

The accused has been taken into custody.
