A drunk Minsk resident, having decided to warm up in the entryway of his apartment building, smashed a locked door to get inside. As a result, he became a suspect in a criminal case, the Minsk City Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs told a BelTA correspondent.

"Residents of a building in the Partizansky District reported to the 102 hotline that an unknown man was trying to break down the front door of the building across the

street. Officers from the Partizansky District Department of Internal Affairs responded to the report. At the scene, they detained the 39-year-old deputy director of a Moscow company, who damaged the entryway door with a curbstone," the department reported. The detainee told law enforcement that he had consumed a large amount of alcohol at a restaurant and went outside for a walk. When it became cold, he decided to go into the entryway of the apartment building to warm up. However, numerous attempts to open the intercom door were unsuccessful, after which the suspect took a rock and struck the glass several times.

A criminal case for hooliganism has been opened against a Minsk resident.
