In 2025, Russian meat exports exceeded imports by 40%.

Poultry meat production in agricultural organizations increased to 6.85 million tons, a 2.7% increase compared to 2024. Chicken meat imports increased by 2%, with the share of supplies from China reaching 30%, while supplies from Brazil halved. Poultry meat exports continued to grow, exceeding 430,000 tons, with the main markets remaining China, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The pork sector also saw moderate growth, with production volumes reaching 6.3 million tons. Despite the price collapse in December, the average price of half-carcasses increased by 11.2% year-on-year compared to the previous period. Pork exports increased by 26%, with particularly strong shipments to Belarus and Vietnam .

Meanwhile, beef production declined by 4% due to a decline in private cattle herds, and beef imports also fell by 7.3%, but still account for a significant portion of the domestic market. Beef prices rose by 20% year-on-year. Despite currency fluctuations and external economic risks, Russia strengthened its position in the global meat market by increasing export volumes.
