The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded about the rules of conduct in the heat

July 2, MINSK . The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded about the rules of conduct in the heat. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the department.
"Between 12:00 and 16:00, try to avoid direct sunlight. Wear hats, use umbrellas, choose light clothes made of natural materials and be sure to apply sunscreen," the department said. "Drink more fluids - water, green tea, kvass are great, but you should avoid ALCOHOL in the heat. Try to reduce car trips. If this is not possible, be extremely careful while driving and never leave children in the car."If you are planning a vacation by the water, you should only swim in specially equipped areas. Lifeguards are on duty at such beaches. Independent swimming in unknown or prohibited areas can lead to tragic consequences;
Children should always be under adult supervision! Even in shallow water, a child can lose his balance and find himself in danger in just a few seconds. Armbands, vests and lifebuoys are useful helpers, but they will not replace sensitive parental attention.
"Swim wisely and do not swim beyond the buoys! Buoys are the safety boundary. There may be sharp changes in depth, strong currents, water transport and other dangers beyond them. Even a good swimmer may not have time to return due to sudden fatigue or a change in weather," the Emergencies Ministry noted. "Shashliks and fires should only be made in specially designated areas. Make sure that the grill is located safely and do not leave the fire unattended. Are you going to the forest? Check for current restrictions on visiting forests in your area using the Emergencies Ministry interactive map."
