June 8, Mogilev. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police and OSVOD began to conduct interdepartmental raids on the beaches of Mogilev. This was reported to BelTA in the Mogilev Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“With the advent of hot summer weather, more and more people spend time near water bodies in search of coolness. However, many do not realize the danger that can lurk not only in the water, but also near the water,” experts noted. “According to statistics, most tragedies occur at the beginning of the bathing season. In 90% of cases, people die in places that are outside the coverage areas of rescue stations. "To prevent accidents while relaxing by the water, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, OSVOD, ATC, members of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union on a regular basis conduct preventive conversations with vacationers, tell them how dangerous it is to swim in prohibited places, why children should not be allowed there, and even more so to swim while intoxicated . In addition to preventive conversations, children and adults are given reminders about safe behavior on the water. They also explain the rules of conduct in forests and parks during hot weather: what needs to be done to prevent fires.
Under special control: unauthorized beaches, quarries and creeks. OSVOD employees are constantly on duty at official places of rest, who not only observe the rest of the townspeople and guests of Mogilev near the reservoirs, but also in case of an emergency they are the first to come to the rescue.
As noted in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, such interdepartmental raids will take place in the regional center throughout the summer season.
