December 21, Vitebsk. Two drunken women in the Polotsk region stole two fir trees and tried to escape at high speed from the forester who was chasing them. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the Vitebsk State Industrial Forestry Association (GPLHO).
Yesterday, at about 5.20 pm, near the entrance gate of the Gomel forestry of the Polotsk forestry, forester Andrei Krumensh, returning from a meeting, noticed someone else's car - a blue Peugeot. Christmas trees were visible from the open rear doors. The forestry worker went to the car to check the driver's documents, but the foreign car took off. The forester on the service car began to pursue violators. On the road near the village of Gomel, the tree thieves turned around and rushed past. Andrei Krumensh saw two women behind the wheel and in the driver's seat.
The chase continued along the highway leading to Polotsk, but the dashing autoladies did not reach the city, but turned into the forest, where they got rid of irrefutable evidence. The forester filmed on the phone the moment when the ladies threw the trees out of the car.
After a rather long chase, which took about 40 minutes, and at a speed sometimes reaching 90 km / h, Andrey Krumensh, who during the pursuit coordinated his route with the forest guard service and the State traffic inspectorate, discovered with the arrived traffic police inspectors a foreign car of violators in the village of Gomel. The owner of the car has been found. It turned out that she was intoxicated , but claimed that she had taken the liquor after the chase had ended.
All materials on the case have been sent to the Polotsk District Department of Internal Affairs, and investigative actions are now underway. Women can be charged with not only petty theft, but also disobedience to an official on duty: in one of the chase episodes, women ignored an attempt by a forester to stop their car and almost hit him with a car.
