Meat production in the Moscow region increased by 6 thousand tons

According to the preliminary results of 2021, the production of livestock and poultry MEAT in the Moscow Region increased by 6 thousand tons compared to the previous year. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Sergei Voskresensky.

“According to the results of the work of the livestock sector of the Moscow Region this year, in farms of all categories, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight exceeded last year's figures by 6 thousand tons. According to forecasts, gross meat production in 2021 will amount to 317 thousand tons,” said Sergey Voskresensky.

On the territory of the Moscow region, major meat producers are: Elinar-Broiler Poultry Farm LLC, KC JSC Branch Petelinsky Poultry Farm, KC JSC Mosselprom Branch, Troparevo CJSC, Kampoferma, SPF Agro, LLC "SPFO" and others.

“There are 9 pig-breeding and 10 poultry-breeding organizations in the structure of meat production in the region. According to the results of the industry’s work last year, the Moscow region in the central federal district ranked 7th in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter, ”added Sergey Voskresensky in conclusion.
