Crimean farmers started sowing winter crops

Crimean agrarians have started sowing winter crops. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Andrey Ryumshin.

More than 14,000 hectares of winter crops have already been sown in the republic for grain.

“According to the recommendations of scientists from the Research Institute of Agriculture of the Crimea, agricultural producers of the republic started in early October. More than 3 thousand hectares of winter wheat have already been sown in the republic, sowing of winter rape has been completed on an area of ​​​​more than 8.5 thousand hectares and the first shoots have already been obtained on more than 50% of the sown areas. Also, winter barley is sown on 200 hectares in the Sovetsky district,” Andrey Ryumshin specified.
The HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Crimea stressed that the farmers in Krasnoperekopsky, Krasnogvardeisky, Pervomaisky, Razdolnensky districts were the first to start sowing.

“Crimean farmers have prepared 543,000 hectares of soil for the autumn sowing. This year, more than 540,000 hectares of winter crops are planned to be sown for the 2022 harvest: more than 335,000 hectares of winter wheat, 176,000 hectares of winter barley, about 3,000 hectares of rye and 400 hectares of triticale,” Andrey Ryumshin specified.
