By June 26, farmers in Bashkortostan had mown approximately 100,000 hectares of forage crops. They had harvested 288,000 tons of silage, more than 25% of the planned volume.
Farms in the Ilishevsky, Chekmagushevsky, Dyurtyulinsky, and Aurgazinsky districts demonstrated the best harvesting results, storing between 25,000 and 36,000 tons of silage for the winter.
Hay harvesting continues across the republic. Work is underway in 53 districts. To date, 50,000 tons of roughage have been stored.
As a reminder, this year, farmers need to store 25.6 centners of feed units of roughage and succulent forage per HEAD of livestock to prepare for the winter, and for farms with high animal productivity, the figure is approximately 30-36.
