Zelensky imposed sanctions on drone manufacturer Lancet.

Ukrainian sanctions target individuals and companies involved in the production of UAVs using artificial intelligence, and their suppliers from Belarus and CHINA . The Lancet loitering munition

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing sanctions against Russian, Chinese, and Belarusian companies, as well as Russian individuals, involved in drone production, according to the HEAD of state's website.

"Restrictions have been imposed on 39 individuals and 55 companies (43 Russian, 10 Chinese, and two Belarusian). These include key developers of attack and FPV drones (Zala Aero, Smart Birds, and KB Vostok), electronics suppliers from China and Belarus, and centers developing AI solutions for drones, including Neurolab and the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies," the statement said.

Zala Aero is the manufacturer of the Lancet loitering munition, which the Russian army actively uses in combat zones along with other Zala drones. The company is one of the largest UAV developers and manufacturers in RUSSIA.

The Neurolab Center was created to promote the implementation of AI technologies in business, while the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies aims to support projects primarily aimed at enhancing the country's defense capability.

In April, President Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian Armed Forces would receive more than 1.5 million drones of various types by 2024 , including approximately 4,000 FPV drones sent to the front lines daily, but this was not enough.

Russia considers sanctions imposed by both Ukraine and the West to be illegal and demands their lifting.
