Musk assessed the availability of foreign goods in Russia

American entrepreneur Elon Musk reacted to the large selection of foreign goods in RUSSIA, despite the imposed sanctions .

“Interesting,” Musk replied in X to a user’s video filmed in a Russian shopping center. it shows stores selling Western brands, including APPLE appliances , Lego toys, Nike and Levi's clothing.

After the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine , many countries imposed sanctions against Moscow, and Western companies began to leave the Russian market or suspend production.

From February 2022 to September 2023, about 140 international brands changed their operating status in the Russian market. Only 32 of them left completely, the rest either sold the business or are in the status of “temporary suspension of activity,” a Nikoliers study showed.

The Russian authorities consider international sanctions illegal and ineffective and insist on their abolition. Restrictions will remain for a long time, President Vladimir Putin admitted .
