A man was detained in Tatarstan who sold sugar on social networks at a significantly inflated price, the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs reported, Tatarstan 24 reports.
The police discovered the "speculative offer" while monitoring the Internet. After that, they carried out a test purchase and, as a result, detained a resident of the republic.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the man sold and delivered to the police a bag of sugar weighing 50 kg at a price higher than the market price. He did not have a declaration of conformity, shipping documents, he was not registered as an individual entrepreneur or legal entity.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting an inspection, the man faces administrative responsibility.
In the video published by Business Online, the man said that he himself bought sugar for 95 rubles. per kg. He also said that he sold seven 50-kilogram bags in the morning and had three left. The price for which the suspect sold the sugar to the police was not reported to the Interior Ministry.
