Voronezh governor assigned duties to the deputy due to illness

The Voronezh region due to the illness of the HEAD of the region Alexander Gusev will be temporarily headed by the Deputy Governor Vitaly Shabalatov. This was reported on the website of the regional government.

“In connection with the illness, the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, signed an order on assigning the duties of the head of the region to the deputy governor, Vitaly Shabalatov,” the report says.

The local authorities did not tell about the state of Gusev and what he was ill with. The government of the Voronezh region refused to provide additional comments to RBC on this topic.

Gusev himself in his TELEGRAM later said that, “despite the sick leave”, he personally continues to control the situation in the region. “As the head of the region [I continue] to coordinate the work of the government of the Voronezh region, set tasks for my deputies and the acting governor, get acquainted with their reports on the work done,” the governor said, thanking everyone who wishes him good HEALTH now.
