
In Russia, 25,033 cases of COVID-19 infection have been recorded over the past 24 hours. This was reported by the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus infection.
Thus, more than 25 thousand cases are detected in the country for the third day in a row. In the previous two days, 25,082 and 25,766 cases of infection were recorded in Russia. On July 8, coronavirus was detected in 24,818 people.
The total number of people infected in Russia has reached 5 million 783 thousand 333 people, of which more than 5.2 million have been cured. Over the past day, cases of infection were registered in all 85 regions of the country. Most of the infected were in Moscow (5410), Moscow region (2511), St. Petersburg (2007), as well as in Nizhny Novgorod (525), Voronezh (430), Sverdlovsk (425) regions and the Krasnoyarsk Territory (408).
A record for the number of COVID-19 infections per day was recorded in Crimea
Over the past 24 hours, 749 people have died in Russia due to COVID-19. The record for this indicator (752 victims) was set the day before, on July 10. The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the headquarters, was 143,002. Most of them since the beginning of the spread of the infection were recorded in Moscow (23,648), St. Petersburg (17,495) and the Moscow region (6,726). In its statistics, the headquarters takes into account only those cases where the coronavirus has become the main cause of death.
