90 people fell ill with coronavirus in the Kaliningrad region

In the Kaliningrad region over the past day, 90 cases of coronavirus were detected, 54 people recovered, eight were hospitalized. This was reported by the COVID-19 Information Center on Monday, August 1.

According to the regional Rospotrebnadzor, 570 cases of COVID-19 were registered in the region over the past week. In comparison with week 29, the incidence increased by 42.3% (at week 28, the increase was 75%).

According to statistics, Kaliningraders over 65 years of age are most susceptible to the disease - 137 cases were detected per week, which is 53.5% more than the previous week. 50 cases of infection were recorded in adolescents under 18 years of age, including 11 in children under one year old.

According to doctors, in 96.7% the disease proceeded as ARI, in 0.4% - in the form of pneumonia, in 2.9% - asymptomatically.

As RBC Kaliningrad previously wrote, the federal Rospotrebnadzor lifted all current restrictions imposed in Russia due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, if the situation worsens, their actions can be resumed.
