
In the North Caucasus in October 2021, 2,203 people with coronavirus infection died. This is 6.2 times more than in the same period of 2020 (352 people), according to the materials of Rosstat.
In October of this year, 1,877 residents of the North Caucasus were identified with coronavirus. The remaining 326 people may have had an infection, but it could not be identified.
In particular, 848 people with covid died in the Stavropol Territory in October this year (in October 2020 - 142 people); in Dagestan - 406 people (in October 2020 - 148), in North Ossetia - 259 people who died with coronavirus in October 2021 (in October 2021 - 1), in Chechnya - 313 people (11 people), in Karachay-Cherkessia - 156 (6), in Kabardino-Balkaria - 154 (33), in Ingushetia - 67 (11).
The anti-leaders were Moscow (4712), Moscow region (3089), Sverdlovsk region (2765) and Tatarstan (2720). The smallest number of deaths with an established coronavirus was registered in the Chukotka and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs (3 and 21, respectively), the Magadan Region (21 people), Tyva and Altai (40 deaths each).
As RBC Kavkaz reported, 1,904 people with coronavirus infection died in the North Caucasus Federal District in September 2021.
