The ambassador said about the discrimination of diplomats in France because of the "Sputnik V"

Russian diplomats vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS with the Sputnik V drug are actually discriminated against in France. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Paris Alexei Meshkov, quoted by TASS.

The HEAD of the diplomatic mission noted that in RUSSIA, all French diplomats, regardless of what drugs they were vaccinated against covid-19 , were given sanitary passes, and were also offered free vaccines. “Many [diplomats] took advantage of them. Here, those vaccinated with Sputnik V are considered unvaccinated. What is this if not a discriminatory approach?” Meshkov said.

The coronavirus pandemic, the ambassador believes, “should have rallied all countries in search of a joint response and overcoming the crisis.” “Instead, disputes erupted over the recognition or non-recognition of different vaccines. Ordinary people became hostages, the economy and cultural ties suffered,” he added.

On September 23, a member of the Federation Council, Vladimir Krugly, announced that members of the Russian delegation who were going to participate in the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) were forbidden to move freely around Strasbourg due to the fact that they were vaccinated with Sputnik V, which is not recognized in Europe. Because of this, the Russian delegation had to participate in the session remotely.
