Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Zhavoronkov announced an increase in the number of residents who were vaccinated against covid-19 later than six months ago. 1.4 million people should be re-vaccinated in Tatarstan.
“The number of people vaccinated as of March 16 is 1.9 thousand people. As of September 16, 475,000 residents were re-vaccinated, and 1.4 million people are to be revaccinated,” he said at a press conference at the Tatar-inform news agency.

Since September 12, vaccination stations near four metro stations have reopened in Kazan. Vaccination can be done at the Prospect Pobedy, Kozya Sloboda, Yashlek and Aviastroitelnaya metro stations. Mobile points will work daily from 8:00 to 19:00 with a break from 13:00 to 14:00.

According to Zhavoronkov, there are no problems with the number of beds in Tatarstan. To date, 972 beds for covid patients have been deployed.
“At some stage, the number of cases increased and the healthcare system reacted accordingly. We have increased the number of beds, but increased, by and large, for reasons of accessibility of inpatient care for the population,” he said.
According to the operational headquarters, 998 cases of infection with a new coronavirus infection were confirmed in Tatarstan per day. 82 people were hospitalized, the rest are receiving treatment at home. The day before, 996 new cases of the disease were confirmed in the republic.
In total, 168,510 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Tatarstan today. Over the entire period of the pandemic, 158,205 people have recovered, including 1,573 over the past day. 2003 people died.
