The EU recognized the certificates of Armenia, where they vaccinate with "Sputnik V"

The European Commission has decided to recognize the covid-certificates issued in Armenia, according to the body's website.

According to this decision, Armenia will join the EU digital certificate system. This means that Armenian citizens with covid-certificates (evidence of vaccination, past illness or negative PCR test) can come to the EU countries, as well as several states that have joined the system, without additional checks. And vice versa, all residents of the countries participating in the system can come to Armenia.

In addition to Armenia, the European Commission also decided today to recognize UK certificates. Both decrees will come into force on October 29.

Armenia has approved the Russian vaccine Sputnik V (authorized in February this year), ASTRAZENECA, Moderna, as well as the Chinese CoronaVac and Sinopharm. In addition, in September, the country's authorities approved the Russian one-component vaccine Sputnik Light.

RBC sent a request to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of HEALTH.
