Last week, specialists of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Directorate in the Bryansk and Smolensk regions, during the control of three batches of flower products delivered to the warehouse of "Alfa Trans Terminal" LLC, detected quarantine pests.
 
Entomological examinations carried out in the Smolensk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Bryansk Interregional Veterinary Laboratory" subordinated to the Rosselkhoznadzor FGBU "Bryansk Interregional Veterinary Laboratory" detected contamination of 550 pieces of Ecuadorian roses and 460 pieces of Turkish carnations with Western California (flower) tripse (Frankliniella occidentalis Perg.).
 
These products came from the territory of the Republic of Belarus and were sent to the recipients from Moscow and Smolensk.
 
In accordance with current legislation, in order to prevent the entry and spread of the identified pest in the territory of the Russian Federation, infected flowers were destroyed.
